Abdullah should order full and credible investigation to completely clear the implication of any government leader in the gruesome murder of Mongolian beauty Altantunya Sharribuu involving C4 explosives
______________ (Parliament, Thursday) : The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi should order full and credible investigation to completely clear the implication of any government leader in the gruesome murder of Mongolian beauty Altantunya Sharribuu involving C4 explosives.
Abdullah cannot be unaware of the swirling rumours and speculations over the case which are most damaging to the government and country, both nationally and internationally. In the name of accountability, transparency, credibility and integrity, Abdullah must not turn a deaf ear but must ensure that these damaging rumours and speculations could be firmly put to rest with comprehensive and independent investigations.
Former Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said yesterday that from his personal experience, the Special Operations Force (UTK) was assigned to protect the DPM and they work under his instructions.
In view of this specific assignment, and the charging of the two UTK officers, Chief Insp Azilah Hadri, 30, and Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar, 35, in connection with the case, Najib cannot continue to keep his “elegant silence” on such a heinous crime – especially as another person charged in the case is none other than his confidante Razak Baginda.
Questions raised and linking to Altantuny’s murder, the Mongolian’s role in the RM4.1 billion submarine deal and the payment of US$100 million commission, must also be thoroughly investigated - independent and separate from the criminal murder trial.
Malaysians want to know what Najib has to say on the involvement of the UTK officers and his confidante Razak Baginda in the Mongolian murder involving C4 explosives.
